Joni

A Patient Heart for Joni

My name is Joni, and I have a story of patience and trust. I was a street cat in need of a leg amputation, but I was so scared of people that it took six weeks to finally catch me. Once I was rescued, I had the surgery I needed to heal, and I’ve been learning to trust ever since.

I am a very shy girl and easily spooked, so I need someone who understands and respects my boundaries. My heart is full of affection, but my past has taught me to be cautious. You’ll find me saying hello when you’re cleaning the cat litter, and sometimes I’m brave enough to come into the living room—but I always do it at my own pace. I might want you to pet me, but I need you to move slowly and let me come to you first.

With a lot of patience, affection, and gentle words, I’ll slowly learn that I don’t have to be afraid. Once I learn to trust you, I know I will become the loving companion I truly want to be. I am looking for a special person who can give me the time and space I need to blossom. If you have a patient heart and a quiet home, I believe we can create a beautiful future together.

Adoption Information

All of our cats are transported to their new homes in a suitable carrier. This carrier is paid for by the adopter, and we pass on the purchase price if the adopter doesn’t have an appropriate one. Adopters are responsible for covering all transportation/flight expenses and any necessary procedures that have not yet been completed.

After adoption, the adopter must transfer the microchip into their own name and update the contact information.
